Thanks Anthony! It's a really interesting project, I'm looking forward to seeing the next research from the Eurosphere (and I've now updated the link ;) ).

Thank you for this great review of our presentation at PDF EU - I am glad you could follow this all the way from Brisbane ;-) Just like you said, this was a first glance at the Eurosphere, there's much more to come (additional countries, new topical analyses) in the coming months...
Anthony (linkfluence)

PS: by the way, thanks for including us in your blogroll, however you might want to update the url to http://us.linkfluence.net/blog/

Julian, sorry about the late reply to this, I was away over the weekend. Thanks for the suggestion, that's exactly what I wanted to do for the next stage of analysis! In particular looking at the followers and seeing the common followers within this group - just going from personal familiarity with some people featured here, there's already a bit of friendship clustering going on here, so what may be represented is just a small group within the total followers for each Tweeter...

Anyway, I need to test out the latest version of NodeXL that Marc Smith's been developing, as that can apparently collect the details of followers - and then making a simple two-column matrix of Tweeter A is followed by Tweeter B, along the same lines as the one I used for the first stage should be reasonably straightforward. It's something I'll look at doing this week if I have some spare time!

A nice experiment! I was thinking, in terms of the 'invisible audience', that it could be interesting to somehow include the number of followers for each tweeter - for example, Tweeter A has 10 followers, and Tweeter B has 100; one can then assume that about ten times as many people saw the second one as the first one. Perhaps there are more re-tweets from the second one?

Also, is there any way of finding out the followers each Tweeter has in common, are there clusters there that can help to explain the patterns of distribution you have detailed?

Well, I wouldn't rule that out just yet, there's only a couple of hundred posts covered here but 49,000 more YouTube hits to account for... Nice work with the video, by the way!

Thanks for the link. I've just started on a chapter exploring some aspects of the digital divide, so this should be useful.

Hi Stan,
Thanks for that! Definitely looks like a busy week for you guys! I've got a few questions about how linkfluence/rtgi collect their data and the visualisation process, and sent off an email to the generic contact email on the linkfluence site, but who would be the best person to contact about this?
